Kephart bushcraft knife handmade
The proven and sturdy all-american classic bushcraft and camping knife: the kephart. Designed true to the original knife created by horace kephart, considered the father of modern day bushcraft. This full tang knife, is handmade by me in my workshop in the netherlands, with 80crv2 german steel, stabilized black walnut handles and a handmade leather sheath. The blade has a traditional nordic scandi cutting bevel, ideal for all the woodcraft tasks. The knife is based off of legendary bushcraft writer horace kephart’s knife design from the early 1900s. The only known existing unmodified kephart knife was used as the model for this latest version. This one-of-kind-knife may have a very old and traditional design, the quality is so good that it is used nowadays by many experienced woodsmen and wildcampers all over the world. Steel: premium 80crv2 german carbon tool steel. Thickness steel: 3 mm. Spine: perpendicular sharpened for scraping bark and use with a fire steel. Handles: stabilized black walnut. Total length: 22,5 cm. Cutting edge: 10,4 cm (4 inch). Hardware: homemade mosaic pins and a brass lanyard tube. Weight without sheath: 176 gr. Weight with sheath: 261 gr. Handcrafted sheath from 3 mm leather from dutch cows that died of old age. The knife comes with a certificate of authenticity.
