This australian handmade full tang bush machete with green moss acrylic handle finished with brass pinning and a custom forest green leather sheath. Both the knife and sheath have been handmade by danny and rebecca, which means it will be a one of a kind as no 2 items are ever exactly the same as they are not machined. This machetes full tang blade has been made from 1084 high carbon steel, the high carbon steel has been selected as it will hold its edge well and most importantly it is very sharp. The blade has also been etched to darken its appearance, the blade edge is shiney and polished where sharpened. The handle is green moss acrylic and finished with brass pinning. The handle has been shaped so it feels comfortable in your hand while using it. Its is on the smaller side for machetes, but i think this would be perfect for camping in the aussie bush. The custom leather sheath has been dye forest green to show off the beautiful colours in the handle, this colour has also been done for the leg strap, there are plenty of anchor points you could use to attach it to your backpack to carry it, or it can be worn on the hip with the d ring sheath, including a buckled leather leg loop. This sheath ensures it can be worn on your hip and held securely to your body so it doesnt get snagged on anything while working in the bush. The d ring construction ensures you can still bend easily and not restricted by the sheath, even though it is also attached to you leg. Measurements for this machete are. Total length – 420 mm.
