This is an optimus 111b campstove, made in sweden. It has a built in pressure pump and it burns white gas, coleman fuel, or crown fuel. It had lost a lot of the original paint on the exterior of the case. I sandblasted the exterior but i left the original paint and patina from years of use on the interior of the case. I then used a high temperature powdercoat mix to match the original color of light blue as closely as possible. I baked on the powdercoat at 450 degrees. I removed the years of built up carbon and dirt on the interior parts, cleaned everything and polished the brass and nickle components. I tested the stove two times, it lights easily and runs very strong, see video. The powdercoat finish on the exterior was done to keep some of the original ” aged” look, there are a couple places where the metal shows through so it doesn’t look too perfect. However the powdercoat finish is still covering the bare metal so it is well protected by the powdercoating process. I attempted to salvage the original decal it had some rolled edges and was missing the extreme left side. I applied a removable adhesive and reapplied the original decal. This stove will make a beautiful display, and it can also be used. It can be a life saver if the power goes out, or if you are caught out in your vehicle and you keep this for emergencies.
