Custom replacement knife handle made of black walnut with a hand cut maple and ebony wild tree inlay and hand cut gold pearl “big mike” inlay on reverse. Custom walnut box to protect the knife. Similar handle designs can be done on any knife. Custom inlays can be done on any woodworking project including guitars, gunstocks and home decor. This knife is a perfect example of a custom woodworking project. A customer wanted a one of a kind handle made for a knife he had intended as a gift for a family member. Originally he was considering inlaying a poem into the handle. After working together on the artistic aspect of the piece, we later decided on a tree that symbolized the poem. The poem reads like this, like branches on a tree, our lives may grow in different directions yet our roots remain as one. The poem was later incorporated into the box to tie it all together. This scenario can be recreated in any number of woodworking projects. If you have an idea for a project and you’d like to see it come to life, contact me at d. I look forward to working with you. This item is made of walnut and maple, koa, ebony, mop, mother of pearl, abalone, wood, purpleheart, burl, rosewood, oak, cherry.
