Maine trapper basket adirondack pack basket canoe storage basket camp cabin lodge decor rustic primitive french country splint oak backpack. A large, american made, hand crafted pack basket with a pot belly and web shoulder harness. This was made in northern maine, 1950’s or so for canoe camping trips and winter trapping. Perfect in a camp or lodge setting holding kindling near the fireplace or on a wall with traps hung nearby. The basket measures 19 tall x 14 x 12 top opening. The pot belly is approximately 16 x 12. The condition is very good, sound and string. There are a couple of old, in use repairs. With reasonable care, it will last another 100 years.
