Vintage craftsman hatchet with black leather skull sheath belt hanger and overstrike guard. The hatchet has been cleaned and sharpened and hung on a new american hickory handle. The american hickory handle has been hand sanded smooth and hand rubbed with orange oil and beeswax. The leather sheath , belt hanger and overstrike guard were made by one of our skilled artisans here at appalachian axeworks. The leather is 8/9 oz veg tan leather dyed black with fiebings pro dye and treated with bickmore heavy duty leather preservative. The sheath has a bonded welt and is hand stitched with white tiger thread. Total length is 14 inches and the cutting edge is 3 inches , weight is 1 lb 12 oz. Daily social media posts.
